Umbraco hosting Requirements
The users need to make sure that hosting package has a new database of MS SQL 2005 or MS SQL 2008 for the installation purposes.
Without the MSSQL database, the free installations do not work and so the Umbraco hosting softwares cannot be installed. The other requirements include Windows 2003 along with IIS 6 hosting compatibility, and Windows 2008 with the IIS 7.0 hosting compatibility in the ASP.NET web hosting plans.
